The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes
This beautifully illustrated 1939 classic was one of my favorites growing up, and I was delighted to discover my children also love this sweet feminist fable about a country bunny who attains the exalted position of Easter Bunny in spite of her responsibilities as the mother of twenty-one children and the doubts of others.
