Like Life: Sculpture, Color, and the Body (1300–Now)

Wednesday, March 21–Sunday, July 22, 10:00 am–5:30 pm
The Met Breuer ( 945 Madison Avenue at 75th Street)
Pay-what-you-wish, suggested $25, free/ages 12 & under

See seven hundred years of sculptural practice—from fourteenth-century Europe to the global present—in this astonishing exhibition. Well-known masterpieces from Donatello, El Greco, Rodin and Degas are juxtsposed with modern works by Louise Bourgeois and Jeff Koons. Be warned there is lots of realistic looking nudity and some effigies (including ones made of real bones, blood, and hair) can be creepy. One sculptre even looks at you and talks.
